The prints are produced on 100 % cotton, non bleached, 300gm paper. The texture of the paper itself heightens Jalil’s recurring use of scrunched and weathered paper in the scan.

“ I originally started this piece on a live broadcast over Instagram to showcase the steps taken in, and expressionistic aspects of the process. I sorted through my materials and picked stuff as I went along, sometimes asking for input from viewers but mostly describing what goes into the work.”
